Joshua Riddle
Professional Web Developer, Application Developer, and Entrepreneur
What to Expect
As a developer I not only want to provide you with the best quality Web application, but I also want to you to be aware of how your site functions. You can never have enough knowlege about an investment you are making, and I intend to provide you with the most informative answers. Unlike many programmer stereo-types, I am more of a creative person rather than the dry-cut code monkey. Each project is a new possiblity for developing a unique and effective product, and I enjoy the entire process from planning to constructing.
Background
I started developing applications as a young and driven newbie around age 11. Around that time I was somewhat restricted to developing in HyperCard and True BASIC due to a Mac-household. That cracked open a wild time of experimentation from COBOL to FORTRAN and an attempt at Assembly. Thankfully I gave up on most of these languages and concentrated my efforts on C/C++. Eventually my parents bought our first modem at a lightning fast 28.8 Kbps when I was about 14 and I started to get into this whole Internet fad. From that point on I tried the many client/server languages including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, ASP, XML, and VRML. Today my focus remains in the following languages:
- XHTML
- CSS
- JavaScript
- XML/XSL
- PHP
- ASP.NET (VB and/or C# but primarily VB)
- SQL/MySQL
- ...and dabbling in various trendy API's.
I am physically located in the Baltimore County, Maryland area and serve clients all across the country.
