We have a confession - we absolutely love WordPress. We develop a lot of sites using the framework, and as a result we have the opportunity to create a lot of great plugins.
Below are a few of our publicly available plugins. Feel free to use them on your own sites. If you need any assistance creating your own plugin, or would like us to customize an existing one for you let us know!
Asset Manager
This plugin will create an “Asset Manager” panel on the page/post admin interface allowing administrators to upload files that are related to that post. You are then able to retrieve these assets within the page template as needed.
Banner Cycler
Create a custom rotating banner area on your site by simply uploading your images. Slides are uploaded into “cyclers” which may be added to a page template to cycle through the various slides automatically, or as configured in the admin area.
Rich Widget
This plugin creates a “Rich Text Editor” widget that allows you to edit sidebar content via a rich text editor. The editor is displayed in a DHTML window so you are not limited to a small space.
Our main purpose for this plugin was to create an intuitive interface for clients that do not know HTML, and are used to a WYSIWYG interface. it would have been nice to include the standard WordPress editor, but we had some technical difficulties and opted for the still-free and open-source FCKEditor.
WP Migrate
A developer-centric plugin, this creates a “Migrate Site” link in the Settings menu which enables you to migrate your current database to a new location/database. You may choose to migrate existing data or simply update any URLs on the target database. Thus if your current domain is www.myoldsite.com and you have moved to www.mynewsite.com you can migrate your entire WordPress database without modifying the database by hand. Works very well with development sites that have a separate domain.
